Pemeriksaan Tahunan Disarankan 1 tahun 1x untuk memoles prostesa utk menghilangkan endapan yang berpotensi mengiritasi. Biasanya ada penumpukan garam dan protein yang signifikan di mata dalam waktu 1 tahun.

Untuk mengevaluasi kecocokan dan penampilan mata. Pelepasan dan Pembersihan Pengangkatan secara teratur membuat rongga mata sedikit teriritasi. Dokter mata Anda akan menunjukkan metode yang benar. Berikut yang perlu diperhatikan:

• Jika Anda melepas mata palsu Anda, pastikan untuk mencuci tangan Anda terlebih dahulu utk mengurangi risiko infeksi dan iritasi.
• Tetes Mata Beberapa pemakai mata buatan mengalami “mata kering” karena kurangnya pelumasan. Dalam kasus seperti itu, dokter mata akan sering merekomendasikan larutan pelumas berair seperti air mata buatan. Dalam kasus di mana individu tidak dapat menutup kelopak mata sepenuhnya atau kelopak mata tidak menutup saat tidur, pelumas berminyak mungkin direkomendasikan.
• Menyimpan Mata Jika mata plastik harus dikeluarkan dari soket semalaman atau lebih lama karena alasan apa pun, simpan dalam air / dalam larutan perendam lensa kontak.

Poin lain yang perlu diingat

• Jika harus menggosok mata, gosoklah ke arah hidung dengan kelopak mata tertutup. Menyeka dari hidung dapat menyebabkan protmata terlepas.

• Jangan biarkan mata palsu terkena alkohol, eter, kloroform, atau pelarut apa pun. Ini dapat merusak lapisan yang tidak dapat diperbaiki.

• Kebanyakan orang dapat memakai mata palsu dengan aman saat berenang. Namun, untuk mencegah kehilangan yang tidak disengaja, Anda dapat memakai kacamata renang atau melepas mata dan menyimpannya dengan aman.

It is recommended to have annual check-up (once a year) to polish the prosthesis and remove deposits that may cause irritation. Typically, there is a significant buildup of salts and proteins in the eye over the course of a year.

To evaluate fit and appearance, regular removal and cleaning are important. However, frequent removal may cause slight irritation in the eye socket. Your ophthalmologists will demonstrate the proper method.

Please note:

• If you remove your artificial eye, make sure to wash your hands first to reduce the risk of infection and irritation.
• Eye Drops: Some users may experience dryness due to reduced natural moisture. In such cases, an eye doctor may recommend gentle moisturizing eye drops such as artificial tears. If the eyelids cannot fully close or remain open during sleep, a thicker moisture-supporting eye drop or ointment may be recommended.
• Storage: if the artificial eye needs to be removed overnight or longer, store it in water or a contact lens soaking solution.

Other Important Notes:

• If you need to rub your eye, do so toward the nose with your eyelids closed. Wiping away from the nose may cause the prosthesis to come loose.
• Do not expose the artificial eye to alcohol, ether, chloroform, or any solvents, as this may permanently damage the surface.
• Most people can safely wear an artificial eye while swimming. However, to prevent accidental loss, you may wear swimming goggles or remove and store it safely.
